Florida Med Tech Certification

This course is offered the first Tuesday of every month and prepares you to assist patients with taking their medications by various routes and provides a total of 6 hours of instructional and hands-on training regarding assistance with self-administration of medications in an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) setting. This course is taught by a Registered Nurse and our curriculum focuses on all aspects of Florida laws for assistance with self-administration of medications, medication practices, and medication safety. Course also includes videos and written exam. Same Day Certification.

Already certified? We also offer a 2-hour Med Tech Recertification course. You must bring current, active certification. If your certification has expired, you are required to take the full 6-hour initial course again.

There are no prerequisites for this course. You must be at least 18 years old.

Bring Identification to class.
